Clubs & Affiliates
Suncoast Association of Chinese Americans have 4 clubs that members can participate: SACA Sunshine Dance Club (traditional / folk Chinese), SACA Ballroom Dance Club (International ballroom), SACA Dragon Boat Team, and SACA Cooking Club. From your prowess in paddling, exemplary culinary skills to fancy footworks on the dance floor, all are welcome.
SACA has a Dragon Boat team that races frequently and worldly. In fact, in June of 2013, SACA Dragon Boat team went to Taiwan for competitive races. If you are interested in dragon boat paddling, please contact Kitt Noythanongsay (email here and link to facebook).
If you are light on your feet, you may want to join either SACA Sunshine Dance Club (SSDC) or SACA Ballroom Dance Club (SBDC). The former is for a more traditional / folk Chinese dance while the latter is for International ballroom dances. If you like to watch “Dance with Stars”, SACA Ballroom Dance Club is the place for you. From International Rumba to Latin Samba, you will fit right in. From Gold experts to novice, all are welcome. SACA Cooking Club (SCC) is a gathering place where members from the greater Tampa Bay area share their recipes. From moon cakes to eight-treasures chicken, you will be a Master Chef in no time.
